Lunch-Time Fun

I was just preparing their lunch....plain pb, grilled cheese, milk. I hand Nora a cup of milk, (not a sippy cup) She takes a drink, then dumps the cup upside down on the table. I pick her up and say "Ah, girl. Where did you come from?" Grant's immediate response, "Mommy, she came from your tummy. So did I." Hmmmmm........

Brotherly Love

Blessing outfit

What a slacker! I am only just now sitting down to post pictures of the baby in his blessing outfit because he is asleep and the other two are hiding under their blankets on the kitchen floor. I am not sure what this new game is, but I like it! Anyway, mom made the outfit 2000 miles away and it was a perfect fit! Maybe sometime my seamstress genes will kick in and I will be half as good as she!

How we'll miss him!

This is a poem about President Hinckley that my former visiting teacher from SC emailed me today. I thought it was sweet.

Prophetic Passing
I imagine he's running to Marjorie now,
Yes, running, not waving his cane.
I see him embracing his father and mother
While they keep repeating his name.
I see him now meeting his forebears,
Brother Brigham and Joseph are there.
Sweet reunion of prophets, united by service
That only such noble men share.
I see him embraced by the Savior
While Father says, "Good and well done.
So faithful in stalwart endurance, I welcome
My noble, most excellent son."
I then hear the ripples of laughter
As he says the reception's just fine,
But he hopes that he'll get an assignment or two
Since there's no need to waste any time.
I can hear his clear voice in the stillness
At the close of this sweet Sabbath day,
Have faith and move forward — there's work to be done.
President Hinckley would want it that way.

What to do?

I was just talking on the phone to my little-big brother while feeding my baby while walking upstairs to put him in bed and see what the toddler scoop was. This is what I walked in to...(Actually, I walked in to see them both standing in the toy box, with the smaller one diaper-less)

Alexander

Alexander Lee Callihan was blessed on Sunday, January 20, by his father. It was a wonderful day! We drove to Columbia, SC to the Irmo Ward for the occassion and enjoyed seeing friends and family, and missed all those who couldn't be there.

Who's Who Among the Callihan's?

One is Grant, One is Alex. Can you guess?
Answer: Alex on top. Grant on bottom.
